I have a sort of vested interest in haunted Leeds, as I am a member of Lynne Robinson's Kaps Paranormal team. I have just seen the first webcast and was very impressed. I look forward to viewing all the other webcasts. Great start to the series. Well done Lynne and the Haunted Leeds team.

Kirkstall Abbey
I feel obliged to tell you that as a young lad, me and my friends adventured upon small tunnel in the Horsforth area in Leeds. It is situated between Newley Lane and Kirkstall Abbey. History told us that this was a "bolt" hole for the monks during there period. Rumour had it and still does that this area is extremely haunted and i have witnessed strange occurances there myself.

Hi, I love the first two episodes, but it would be nice to see if the names of the spirits mentioned could be checked to see if it was verifyable

27 years ago my husband was in LGI for 26 weeks following an accident. After he was discharged we were in a pub and he met a friend of his and his girlfriend who was a nurse at LGI. She asked him if he had seen the 'White Lady' and he said "Yes I think I did." He then told the story of how one night he was awake (it was very late; perhaps after midnight)and he saw this person - he thought it was a nurse - come in from the balcony at the end of the ward. She was dressed all in white, and she walked all the way down the ward and into the sluice room at the end of the ward. He said that at the time he didn't think it was strange. The girlfriend said that the story was that the ward was at one time a childrens ward and the nurses were nuns. One of the nuns would always spend a vigil at the bedside of any child they thought would not make it through the night and the current day nurses believe that this 'ghost' appears when a patient is about to die.
My husband could not remember if anyone had died that night - as many elderly patients died during his time on the ward. He is now convinced that he did see the ghost of the 'White Lady'. May be worth an investigation as I am sure that the LGI will have many ghosts!!.
Loving the videos that you are making and would like to ask if you are going to publish the photographs and other evidence that we have not yet seen.

that was very interesting .
i used to go in the old bridge inn pub in kirkstall and the bar staff told me that the cellar and the level of the pub on the river bank was haunted.
they said it was a girl /maid they said most people who worked there experienced something.
they said the girl had an affair with a monk .
i dont know if there was an inn there or anything else before the dissolution of the monastries
