Grant Woodward, features writer for the Yorkshire Evening Post, has had a few spooky experiences in the past.

"I remember dreading walking up the stairs at our old house for some reason," he recalls "I always got a shiver down the spine and it felt as though someone or some thing was watching me. "There was never anyone there when I turned round but as a young kid it was very creepy at the time."

Grant has never actually seen a ghost but approaches Haunted Leeds with an open mind. "If someone shows me proof that there is a spirit world out there then I'm willing to accept it. But it would have to be pretty conclusive.

"I'm looking forward to working with a top medium like Barrie John on these investigations and seeing just what he can pick up on in these wonderful old buildings with all their history.

"The great thing about it is that he won't know where we're going until we get there so we know that when he gets something right it's not because he's researched it on the internet."
